Hi, I have a customer running MCC V1.3 with the ELMS AM and he is intermittently having problems with ACCVIOs. Sometimes when he goes into a bridge or concentrator icon and selects something e.g. identifiers he gets and access violation and MCC crashes. The stack dump looks like: 5SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=01, virtual address=EA352800, PC=0175F767, PSL=03C00000 Improperly handled condition, image exit forced. Any help much appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Check to make sure he has log_io and phy_io privs. When these privs aren't enabled the bridge AM and conc AM will crash sometimes instead of giving an error message. This is a known bug in the MCC EA routines. -Bob

Thanks for the reply. I checked with the customer and he claims he had all privileges enabled. I will wait till he has another problem and get more detail on exactly what he was doing and the account setup. Steve

Hi, The same customer has had another problem. This time he was rearranging icons in some of his larger domaIns and clicked on a DECbridge 90 that was registered as a station. He clicked on the DB90 and pulled down show identifiers and clicked. He got a crash that looked like: %SYSTEM-F-ROPRAND, reserved operand fault at PC=80000010, PSL=03C00004 Improperly handled condition, image exit forced.
