V1.2 3 mcc. Using SNMP. Clicks on the only ALPHA OSF box he has registered. It brings up the SNMP map. Clicks on ALPHA, gets INTERNAL LOGIC ERROR 30 ENCOUNTERED Customer has a LanAnalyzer on the net and doesn't see any request coming from the MCC machine (v4.3 ultrix) to the ALPHA box. Telnet works fine to the Alpha by the way. All other entitys work fine. There was another note from a year ago with a similar problem but this customer has already rebooted his MCC node! thanks for any help in this. Cathy

In V1.2.3 the SNMP AM required that each agent correctly support the three system variables (sysDescr, sysUptime, sysObjectID). If any of the variables were not returned correctly (or had an error in it) you would get the logic error 30 message. This restriction has since been removed in V1.3. >> Customer has a LanAnalyzer on the net and doesn't see any request >> coming from the MCC machine (v4.3 ultrix) to the ALPHA box. Define the environment variable MCC_TCPIP_AM_LOG 0x60 to get a dump of SNMP PDUs sent and received. Remember to do an mcc_kill before restarting MCC. Rahul. |
