Hello,
My customer has the following problem with DECmcc 1.3 Iconic Map PM:
A Register operation which works fine under the FCL PM fails when
performed with the Iconic Map With the following mesage:
MCC-S-ILVIMPLDEFAULT Implementation specific Default
This worked fine with 1.2. Has anything changed in the way the Iconic
Map PM handles default values for registration arguments?
Context : Running SSb 1.3 on VMS.
Thanks,
Regards, Philippe.

Could you post they syntax of the FCL registration command that works correctly? That might help narrow down what might be happening in the IMPM. -- Erik | |||||

Erik
I don't have the exact syntax. I can give you the following details:
MCC>Register DSAC fs02 system name = deco, nsap = /0192288, machine=
datanet, OS = DNS
The Access module is a home-brewed one, but it doesn't get called at
all when the Iconic Map PM is used. (We included a trace)
So I guess the problem lies between the Iconic Map and the registration
FM, but as the registration FM performs correctly when the FCL is used,
I suppose it has to be the Iconic Map ?
The MSL definition of the register directive for the DSAC entity
includes default values for several of the register arguments. These
default values are correctly displayed when the register form is set up
by the iconic Map. These are all enumerated data types.
My guess would be that the Iconic Map is having problems ILV encoding
these default values. However, this worked correctly with V1.2.
Regards,
Philippe.
