| How many DAP command files were being loaded in the dictionary (via DAP)
during that one session?
What do you mean by "The global class has "a lot of" child classes"? How
many is a lot?

5148.2 | private env + 43 classes | TAEC::WEBER | | Fri Jun 04 1993 12:58 | 17 |
| Hi again,
They are loading the dap from a .csh file.
The script creates a private mcc environment,
in particular, it creates the local dictionary with mcc_ndbm from
/usr/mcc/mcc_system.
Then, they load the classes from several .com files, but the error appears
at the first file. After the error, the dictionary does not contain
any data about the first global class.
The script is run from a user account.
The global class has 6 subclasses, each of which has 6 subclasses, this
makes 43 classes (does not seem to be so many, does it ?)
Thanks to answer.

5148.3 | mcc_pml.stacksize.* ? | SWTHOM::NOBRE | Jocelyne Nobre - CST France | Mon Jun 07 1993 07:22 | 13 |
|
We have already encountered this message ("cannot grow stack")
in DECmcc/Ultrix V1.2 and we have solved it by changing
mcc_pml.stacksize.* values ( 128 instead 64 ) in mcc_resource.dat
file.
These values does not exist anymore in mcc_resource.dat in
V1.3 version. Is it possible to add them ?
Thanks for help ,
Regards,
JOcelyne.

| Jocelyne,
All you have to do is press Save Current Settings in the Options Menu. The
version of mcc_resource.dat which is written in your login directory will have
all the stacksize values in it. Then you can tweak them if necessary.

| Thanks Verna ,
The customer pressed Save Current Settings and change
mcc_pml.stacksize.* values to 128 in mcc_resource.dat file but the
problem described in .0 is still there.

| Changing the resource file stack limits does not affect the way dap runs.
Those values are just used by the Iconic Map. After changing a resource in
the resource file by hand (ie a stacksize), you must restart the Iconic Map
to have the new value read in.
