5147.0. "Current Third Party List?" by TRIGG::TRIGG::CLAYTON (Merlin Clayton DTN 445-7217) Thu Jun 03 1993 15:47

Is there a current list of third party applications that integrate with
the MCC director on both VMS and ULTRIX platforms?

How about internal applications that have been developed to work in
conjunction with MCC such as TeMIP... is there any published information
on these?

I have a customer wanting to know what's out there if they go forward
with MCC vs. OPENview.

Thanks.

No current list that I know of, I'm afraid. You could use the pointer I
put in for note 3201 about a year ago & work from that list (assuming it's
still around).

Didn't you have a list included in your RFP response to SWBT? You could
start from there.

Look through the listing of MIB extensions in the MCC kit and pull all the
vendor names out of there -- those are supprted via SNMP.

For INTERNALLY-Developed stuff:
Mark Sylor sent an Email to the world a while back asking for people
to respond if they were working on MMs, SNMP MIBs or Common Agent
MOMs. Maybe you could follow up with him to get a picture on what's
     been done internally.
For EXTERNALLY-Developed stuff:
For 3rd Party lists, you could try contacting some of the folks in the
NSM Strategic Relations Group (most are on BLUMON::, I think):
        Mark Collet - Networks
        Deepak Goyal - Config/Admin/DCC
        Les Grodberg - Frameworks
        Lindsay MacFarlane - Security/Fault/Performance

In the June 7th Sales Update (US version), pages 46-47 has an article
on "POLYCENTER Partners Program Re-defined[sic]" and at the end it
refers to "a public directory for POLYCENTER and a sub-directory for
    third-party materials and activity:"
    and cites:
    	vino::polycenter$public:[third_party]*.*

However, I just checked and got "directory not found".

The authors of the article are:
