5126.0. "How can I tell the Director kit is installed and running?" by PTPM06::TALCOTT () Fri May 28 1993 11:25

Our product requires the Director kit to be installed and running. I'm interested
in something like a file (preferably an installed image but I'm flexible) that
comes with only this kit. Is there such a file or some other way to tell what's
running?

Since the DIR kit is a complete subset of the BMS kit there are not many
files that come in just the DIR kit.

The following file is only in the dir kit:

	SYS$STARUTP:MCC_DIR_STACK_SIZES.COM

Other ways:

	Run dap:	manage/enter/dictionary

	enter: show class MCC

Under subclasses you should not see the following for the DIR kit:

     Subclass (2) : ALARMS 1
     Subclass (2) : HISTORIAN_FM 4
     Subclass (2) : EXPORTER_FM 19
     Subclass (2) : NOTIFICATION_FM 20

I'll take the straightforward approach and look for the file - less processing
and lower chance of errors down the line (like Show Class syntax changing).
