Is it possible to manage a Novell PC network from a DECmcc (probably Ultrix) system via an X-25 network? (These are the only information that we have for now) Thanks for a quick answer Donatella

I suppose you could take the lack of response as a 'no'.
What *part* of the "Novell PC network" are you trying to manage? To what
degree?
- monitor the IPX/SPX traffic on the LAN?
- check reachability of the Netware stations (clients or servers?)
- monitor Netware filesystem usage/errors?
- administer Netware filestystem protections, print services, etc ?
I seem to remember that Novell is shipping some sort of SNMP agent for
their file servers. If it's possible to get SNMP over the X.25 connection
AND if the SNMP agent provides what you need for management, then that
would be a likely candidate.
You may also want to ask this in the Netware conference (if you haven't
already.)
