I have a problem to register a node4 with MCC. I have a device from Silicon Graphics that is running DECnet. It responds to all NML request invoked from NCP such as 'show executor' and 'show known circuits'. When I try to register this node in MCC, I get the following error: Nice request, unrecognised parameter type Partial registration I checked out what MCC is doing to register a node4. It is requesting a 'show executor' and a 'show known circuits'. When I do this from NCP I get the following answers: show executor: Executor node = 4.8 (SGI) State = on Identification = NML V1.0 SGI 4DDN release 3.0 show known circuit: Circuit State Loopback Adjacent Name Routing Node ENP on What is the reason of the partial registration? -Geert-

I suspect that whoever implemented DECnet support for the Silicon Graphics box didn't quite get one of the parameters right or doesn't understand one of the requests we're sending. Is this thing on the net? Address 4.8 doesn't respond right now. John |
