5048.0. "Must use node NUMBER vs NAME to get report" by NEURON::BERBRICK (Bob Berbrick * Networks Instructor * Co. Springs) Wed May 12 1993 18:05

While using the Reports Package for Phase IV entities, I noticed some
    odd things.

I wanted to get all eleven of the Phase IV Reports for one node with
only one circuit on that node. For Options (reports) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10,
and 11, when prompted to enter the node NAME, I had to use the
DECnet node NUMBER (ie. 28.203) in order to get any data. For reports
6, 7, 8, and 9 (which are node reports as you can see below), I was
able to use the node NAME. (Wildcards appeared to also work, but I did
    not try them all).

I used the POLYCENTER GUI to export current data on the entites of
    NODE4 HIMIP3, NODE4 HIMIP3 LINE SVA-0, AND NODE4 HIMIP3 CIRCUIT SVA-0.

Since I can export the data and get the reports using the node number
the node must be properly registered with POLYCENTER and it is also
defined in the DECnet database on which POLYCENTER is running and on
    which the reports were generated.

Is anyone seeing this behavior or is there something weird on my
    POLYCENTER node??

FYI - here is the list of avaialble Phase IV options

There are a number of notes on this subject, and I believe
a number of QARs as well.

Meanwhile, which version of the software are you running, and on which OS?
