5009.0. "DECmcc process crash" by HGOSPS::DENISLI () Thu May 06 1993 00:56

    VAXstation 3100, Physical memory 20M bytes
    VMS 5.5-2
    DECmcc EMS 2.2

    Maybe it is not an appropriate machine to run DECmcc but I have no
    other choice.

    I have encountered two process crash but cannot find any process dump
    in sys$login.  My questions are,

    	1. Is there any process dump?
    	2. Do I miss any patch or important setting?

    The exception messages and UAF are as attached.

    Thanks and regards,
    Dennis.

5009.1Upgrade?TOOK::MINTZErik Pavlik MintzThu May 06 1993 11:5310
You might try upgrading to Polycenter 400 V2.3 (aka EMV V2.3),
which is the current version. However, that would not relax any of
the resource requirements.

Someone may have a chance to see if something stands out in this information,
but we really do not have the engineering resources available to spend
time debugging problems on an unsupported platform.

5009.2problem solved after increasing WSMAX...HTSC19::DENISLIFri May 07 1993 04:386
    $ SHOW PROC/CONT find the process crashes when the working set
    increases near to 15,000 blocks. The SYSGEN parameter WSMAX is found
    to be 16,000 block. The problem does not show up again after
    increasing WSMAX to 40,000 block.
