4958.0. "rename bridge problem" by SWTHOM::NOBRE (Jocelyne Nobre - CST France) Tue Apr 27 1993 09:28
My customer use DECmcc V1.3 and ELM AM 1.3 and get an ACCVIO when
he use the mcc command 'rename bridge' with the ethernet address.
I reproduce the problem and traces follow.
Any ideas ? Thanks a lot for help,
Regards,
JOcelyne.

4958.1 | Known bridge AM bug | QUIVER::HAROKOPUS | | Tue Apr 27 1993 13:49 | 8 |
| It's a known problem with the Bridge AM. the workaround is to
deregister both bridges and then re-register them again with the
new names.

4958.2 | already QARed ? | SWTHOM::NOBRE | Jocelyne Nobre - CST France | Wed Apr 28 1993 06:50 | 8 |
| Hi Bob,
Thanks for your reply .
Can you give me the status of this problem ? Have I to QAR it
or is there already a QAR number ?
Regards,
JOcelyne.

4958.3 | QAR 3385 MCC_INTERNAL V1.2 | QUIVER::HAROKOPUS | | Wed Apr 28 1993 10:57 | 9 |
| It's QAR 3385 in MCC_INTERNAL V1.2 database. It was marked defered
before the V1.3 release. Given that there are no resources on this
project now and that there are higher priority problems with the
product, I don't think it will get fixed in the forseeable future.
If this is a serious problem for your customer then I recommend a CLD
or similar escalation.
