4923.0. "DECnet event sink performance." by OPG::SIMON () Wed Apr 21 1993 09:15
Hi,
has anyone ideas on what sort of event rate is
supported by the DECnet event sink. Our group have
written a program which passes events to datacollectors
via the event sink using either UDPIP or DECnet. This
makes use of the data collector API routines. We
generate events approx every two seconds and we are
sendin to two seperate DECmcc systems one on VMS and the
other on ULTRIX. When we use UDPIP sinks the event
notifications keep up to date, but when a DECnet event
sink is used the events backup as they cannot be
delivered fast enough. Should this be the case and are
there figures for maximum event rates for the sinks.
Cheers SImon....
