Hi One and All,
Does anyone know if it would be possible to configure
the iconic map in such a way as to prevent the lock
from being opened or closed ?

I haven't tried this, and don't know if it would work...
If your intention is to allow some end-user to use the map, but not
change it, how about setting the map to W:RE? That assumes, of course,
that the end user is not the owner of the map.

This will prevent a changed map from being saved but will not prevent
the user from changing the map.
