4905.0. "LB200 NVRAM corruption causes bridge to stop forwarding" by CUJO::HILL (Dan Hill-Net.Mgt.-Customer Resident) Sun Apr 18 1993 19:47
We were in the process of setting up a LANbridge 200 to use selective
forwarding. When the commands were issued, but before the bridge
forwarding database was set to manual mode = True, the bridge stopped
forwarding several multicast and physical addresses.
Turns out we were running V1.4 of the DEBAM(LB200) firmware. The
problem of NVRAM corruption was fixed in V1.6. The current version, as
of this posting, is V2.5.
Incidentally, V2.5 also supports MIB II SNMP.
See note 45.0 in NOTED::MCC-TOOLS for the syntax and procedure to set
up selective forwarding.
For additional information on LB100, LB200, and other bridges, see the
NAC::RBMS_LANBRIDGE100 notes conference.
