Novice Questions, ultrix 4.2 with MCRBMS123 1) is there anyway to modify the original domain when the world backdrop is being used so that the entire worldd map, not just sections are displayed in the window? 2) If not running from the root account, access errors occur when trying to access certain domains out of the MIR. Something like this.. MIR:mcc_dns_representative, now owned any clues on how to get around this? thanks in advance john wieland customer support center

To see the whole world in the MAP window (as different from what you
have which shows the world in the navigation window and only part
in the map window) you need a different backdrop.
Send me mail ( TOOK::R_SPENCE ) to remind me (I am not in the office at
the moment) and I will scale a world map down to map window size.
Be sure to let me know (roughly) how big your map window is compared
to the whole screen and also the navigation window. Also, where in
the navigation window space oyu want it located (most people have the
default location - upper left - but I don't want to assume...).
Someone else will have to address the second question.
