When running SSB V1.3 DECmcc on a V4.3 ULTRIX system with V1.1.3 Motif and DECnet/OSI V5.1.....a very ugly display problem occurs for the iconic map. If an informational or error window pops up over a map that has lines drawn, then the lines are copied onto and carried with the message window and not occluded as would be expected and as occurs on the VMS version. Is this a known problem which can be solved with a Motif or system patch perhaps and if so, can someone please post a pointer to the patch? Any help greatly appreciated. Al

Al, My guess is that you have a graphics accelerator installed on your machine. I believe that the release notes document a specific hardware configuration (with a graphics accelerator) that shows this behavior. This is a problem with the window manager rather than the Iconic Map. Verna | |||||

There is no indication about certain configuration in the release notes. Can you please supply it on the next reply please? Thanks, Orna. |
