	hello again ; 

	following the discussion of note 4511 , i'm sorry to say that
there are still problems with the reports package on ultrix using ingres
tools ( Vigraph ) ; that is , using the standard procedures of the reports
package of PNM 1.3 , it is impossible for the customer to get any graphic report 
of its interface traffic . 
	the 132-columns reports work OK as exporter and SQL ;

	( by the way , PNM stands for "Polycenter Network Manager" ;-)


	so my two questions : 

	1 - are there WORKING examples of this package with graphics ?

	2 - is there a turnaround or a replacement for using vigraph ? 
	
	the customer is not willing to subscribe to a maitenance contract with
Ingres for Vigraph , as it was sold as part of the decmcc solution , so it asks 
back Digital to solve his problem

  My two answers:

  1) I was able to get all the reports BUT the graphics to work on the
     Ultrix version of V1.3.  At the time that V1.3 was shipped, I did
     not have any manuals for INGRES/VIGRAPH, and since I was able to 
     get the same message as you, I thought that I just didn't have any
     data and/or didn't know how to use the package properly.  Now that
     I have some manuals, I will look into this hopefully for the V1.4
     time frame.  

  2) I do not know of a turnaround/replacement for Vigraph.  You will
     have to talk to those who dictate the database decision.  i.e.
     the framework group in the Polycenter.  I can only work with what
     I am giving.

Just as a note to those reading...I *DID NOT* write the reports package.
I am just cleaning up after those who did.  And the original intention of
this package was to provide *SAMPLE* reports.  That is, how to do reporting.
If you want specific reports, ... well at the moment you will have to 
write your own.
