4801.1 | Need full name of the MM | TOOK::MINTZ | Erik Mintz | Fri Apr 02 1993 00:59 | 7 |
| Try "enroll mcc_tcpip_am".
Are you sure there were no error messages earlier in the installation log?
The AMs are enrolled during the installation, so this message indicates that
something must have failed earlier.

4801.2 | How do I recover from my mistake? | CSC32::DAVISSON | | Fri Apr 02 1993 11:39 | 28 |
| hello
1. I tried mcc>enroll mcc_tcpip_am
This apears to work, IVP now passes that test
2. The problem is that that each one of the am's now need to
be reenrolled.
3. Yes I did get errors similiar to note 4785 "not enough core"
I should have saveed the errors but I thought they would be stored
in a log file. I did not pay enough attention to requirements in the
intallation guide that has been corrected.
So at this point what is the best way to continue?
Is there a complete log file for the install? (/usr/var/adm/fverify is
not much help)
If I reenroll each am will that be okay?
Should I deinstall and start over?
I am asking these questins because I am looking for the best way to
recover from this. I know that I will be getting calls from the field
from others that also made this mistake.
thank you for your quick response

| Well, you can certainly enroll the MMs by hand.
But I'm not sure what else might have failed during the installation
if you did not have enough swap space.
The safest (and probably fastest) thing to do would be to de-install with
setld -d, and re-install. But if you want to try recovering in place,
I can try and find somone who knows what else you might need to do.
Let me know.
