| John,
A few things you can do to help us figure this one out, since we have had no
problems with bitmaps.
1. Send me (took::v_gilbert) a copy of your bitmap file as well as your map
file if you have a map file (after press File Menu Save Map and stored in
your MCC_MAPS directory.
2. I am going to mail you a bitmap file we have tested with successfully and
would like you to test with it and tell me your results.
Thanks,
Verna

4789.2 | Any news?? | COMBAT::FORSBERG | | Fri Apr 16 1993 08:48 | 9 |

Do you have any news on this problem? We have the same problem on at
least two systems (one of them being a customer system) where we're
running V1.3 (SSB). As I can recall this worked in at least one of the
field test versions (I'm sorry but I don't remember which one of them).
Thanks,
Annika

| Verna,
I have experienced the same problem with X11 bitmaps in 1.3 (SSB).
I would like to know if there is any workaround/solutions to solve it
because i have installed this version to the customer because he
specifically asked for this feature.
thanks in advance for you attention,
Ciao,
Andrea Lasagna.

4789.5 | Works the old way :-) | WELLIN::MCCALLUM | | Thu May 20 1993 05:39 | 21 |

Well I had a file that crashed if you added it via the IMPM, but if you
added it the old way ( by editing the domain map file and adding the
appropriate line ) then it works. You have to create the domain, save
the map from the IMPM. exit the IMPM. edit the map file , add a line
like
background_pixmap sys$login:dup.xbm
so the file looks something like
version 3
domain .London
background_pixmap sys$login:dup.xbm
last_x 0.011318 last_y 0.116690
You can then re-enter the IMPM and add members to the domain.
