4785.0. "Ultrix V1.3.0: not enough core" by SEVERN::BREWTON () Wed Mar 31 1993 08:29

    I'm trying to isntall V1.3.0 on a DECstation 3100 with 24MB of memory.
    I get the follwoing error during the enrolling of the AM and FM's:

    	enrolling mcc_registration_fm .... DECmcc (V1.3.0)

    Failed to create spawned process : not enough core
    Enroll : Failed to create MM subprocess : Not enough core..

    Being new to Ultrix I haven't a clue as how to fix this problem.

Did you happen to glance at the SPD/SSA ?

DECstation 3100 is explicitly *not* supported. [You can't shoehorn enough
memory into them.] *Minimum* RISC/ULTRIX configuration is a 16 SpecMark
system w/48Mb main memory.

Excerpts from the POLYCENTER Network Manager 200 SSA are attached for your
edification...

    The installation error means you ran out of virtual memory. Too little
    swap space.
