    Hi,
    
    Working with DECmcc V1.3.0 (both VMS & ULTRIX), and during a
    presentation of new functionalies, especially the new ability of
    receiving and decoding enterpriseSpecific traps with VARIABLES data
    described within ASN1 source file (typically CHIPCOM traps such as
    chipPortUP, chipPORTDown which returns onlinePortSlotIndex and
    onlinePortIndex), my customer would find very well the ability to
    analyze this specific messages to re-target the notification (with
    changing of color) on a child entity such as onlinePortTable (slot,port)
    instance (presented as an active drawn-line).
    
    As I see until now using NOTIFICATION_FM & TARGETTING capabilities, no
    semantic analysis of SNMP enterpriseSpecific trap messages is possible.
    
    Is there any requirement about this kind of functionality for V1.3.0 or
    next versions of DECmcc ?
    
    The idea is, using DECmcc as message console in FAULT
    MANAGEMENT work, even using loosely-couple application such as ONdemand NCS
    for ULTRIX in CONFIGURATION work, to centralize on DECmcc Notification
    Services Application window and to use as benefits all AM/FM modules of 
    DECmcc.
    
    Please note that the current lack of this functionaly is not understood
    by our customer because, as he said, "Others platforms, such ONdemand
    NCS, are able to do it !!!".
    
    Any opinion about that ?
