I have installed ELM & MCC V1.3 and am finding difficulty understanding the
network utilization graphs. The basic hardware configuration is as follows:-
concentrator
|
|
---------------
|DECBRIDGE 620|
| |
--2-----3-----4
| | |
File Alpha
Server Box
Results:
I am transferring large amounts of data from the file server to the alpha box. When
I monitor line 2 on the decbridge during this transfer it shows me 40% network
utilization and on monitoring line 3 during this time the network utilization shows
about 0.5% and the single destination utilization on line 3 shows 40%.
Question 1:
To my mind if line2 is sending the data and line 3 is receiving the
same data then the network utilization graphs should be the same or am I missing
something??
Question 2:
What is causing this difference between the single destination utilization and
network utilization graph??
Thanks,
Lionel.

re: .0
We also have problems with the utilization figures for the DECbridges.
I suspect that there is a bug either with the DECbridge firmware or
the calculations that DECmcc is doing.
I have an outstanding CLD on this....
