I have several customers that had planned to use DECmcc with PCs
as workstations. We have not had much luck getting DECmcc V1.2 to
work with eXcursion, and have been told by CSC/Atlanta that this
is a known problem. They have also indicated that there are no
plans to fix the problem. The basic description of the problem
is that after you have created and deleted many windows, eXcursion
will run out of memory and hang! the CSC indicated that the problem
was not unique to DECmcc, but occurs with any application that opens
many windows.
Does anyone have a solution or alternate idea? The important point is
that the customers need to use PC as the display device.
We will probably test out the third party X-servers, although this is not
really attractive. Does anyone have experience with them?

| So why are you asking this question here?
I would expect that the folks most likely to fix eXcursion bugs are reading
the eXcursion conference (NOTEMN::EXCURSION).
