4713.0. "CMA-F-EXCCOP, enabling rule dieds..." by MLNCSC::BARILARO () Thu Mar 18 1993 03:57
Hi,
Vaxstation 4000/60, 72 MB memory
VMS 5.5-2
MOTIF v1.1
MCC v 1.2
A customer of ours (the same of TSAM hanging process) has a problem
on the batches that enable the alarm rules, randomly they die with
the message:
%CMA-F-EXCCOP, exception raised; VMS condition code follows
-SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=04, virtual
address=00000180, PC=000C052F, PSL=03C00000
I suggested him to divide the enabling on more than one batch,
creating one batch for every domains, but they still die. It
seems that the batch that die the most it's the process that
enable the rules for the principal domain (the backbone) that
contains more entities than the other (Bridge, snmp, node4,
terminal servers), but died also batches for domains that
contains few entities and few rules.
The MCC_AUDIT.COM runs fine as the log file :
MCC_AUDIT X1.2.21 18-MAR-1993 09:52:04.27,
on node ALMANS::, a VAXstation 4000-60, running VMS V5.5-2

I checked the notes file and I found only one topic similar to
my problem (# 3329) with a QAR #3263, but there isn't answer to
that.
Any helps very very appreciate,

4713.1 | Problem still exist.... | MLNCSC::BARILARO | | Wed Mar 24 1993 11:35 | 16 |
| Hi,
The problem is still present, the temporary workaround the customer
has implemented (a command file that check the existence of the
batches that enable the rules, one for each domain) don't satisfied
him, he really need (want) an answer....
I tried to install the VPA to find out performance problems, now
I use 2 pagefiles for a total of 450.000 blks, VPA and Autogen
don't signal nothing... the same MCC_AUDIT naturally....
Nobody could address me in the right way ?????
Thanks in advance,
Ciao Luciano
