How come installing V1.3 EMS takes such a ridiculously long time!!!! I was running T1.3 and the install took 5 hours....then the machine crashed....so I have to wait another 5+ hours which wastes a whole day. I was under the impression that the install time was going to get less as messing with the dictionary stuff was going to be made faster somehow.... Customers are going to get real bent out of shape if it takes them a couple of days just to install MCC.....I have already had people complain about the length of time it takes to install (since they usually mess it up once or twice before getting us to come and do it for them !!!) thanks, Mike

The product (at least on VMS) only takes a very long time if the system configuration is at or below the SPD Minimum requirements. s/rob | |||||

I can do it in 3 hours on a 4000-60. But the really cute thing is that during that looooong pause when nothing seems to happen System Watchdog raised to alarms indicating that the process was looping. |
