Not sure where this should be placed. I searched but could not find topics which relate... I have a customer with a problem. His problem seems to be (as he states); "having problems exporting on notification". He gets a message "background process not setup", but he says the process is there. The process he indicates is MCC_TCPIP_SYNC. I am not an MCC expert, so I may not have enough information. Can someone desipher this information and give me some idea as to what this problem might be. THANKS! Bob Grover

4668.1 | Exporter Batch Job Running??? | SPANKY::SAWYER | Thu Mar 11 1993 13:26 | 19 | |
Hi, It seems to me that background process that it is looking for is the background process for Exporting. That error seems to crop up when you try to export on some entity and the background process is not running. Ask the customer if SYS$MANAGER:MCC_EXPORTER_BACKGROUND.COM is running in one of the batch queues when he does a $ SHO QUE/BAT ?? If not then they will have to submit it to batch using $ SUBMIT/QUEUE=XXXXX/RESTART/PARAMETERS=(name of rdb file used here) - _$ SYS$MANAGER:MCC_EXPORTER_BACKGROUND.COM Hope this helps Rob |
