4652.0. "Will DECelms report when DECbridge 620 is not communicating?" by VCSESU::BRANAM (Steve, VAXcluster Sys Supp Eng LTN2 226-6056) Mon Mar 08 1993 15:48
I realize that DECelms does not fully support DECbridge 620, but I have a
customer who is trying to monitor the status of two DECbridge 620's with DECelms.
If one of the bridges gets powered down, will DECelms report that it cannot
poll the bridge? Something like event code 1.4.2, stating that the device being
polled did not respond within the timeout period?
They also report that despite registering the bridge with all the correct
addresses, when they show the addresses, DECelms shows the same FDDI address on
all the ports. Is this due to the limited support for 620's? Would this affect
the poller reporting that it could not talk to the device?
