	This note posted in both MOTIF and MCC notesfiles :


	I have noticed an intermittent problem with the Motif Window manager
	crashing whilst running DECmcc.

	Software versions are :

	VAX/VMS V5.5-2
	MOTIF V1.1
	DECmcc V1.2.6

	Running on VAXstation 4000-60 with 48MB memory.

	When the window manager crashes, I get the following output by
	doing a "show output" from the session manager "work in progress"
	option :

	There is a known bug in the Motif Window Manager and DECmcc stresses it. I am including a mail message about a patch kit available for Motif Window Manager on VMS and Ultrix. Please take the appropriate steps to distribute this patch kit when necessary to customers. It contains a fix for a crash on VMS and a core dump on ULTRIX. With certain applications which have many windows, such as MCC sometimes when windows are removed from the screen, Mwm updates its internal structures incorrectly and crashes. 	Hello; I am running VMS060, and DECmcc V1.3 (newest CD Distribution=Sept), with the Motif that shipped on that dist kit. I recall that I needed a CSC patch to run MOTIF and the old V1.2 DECmcc. My Windows kept losing the DECW$MWM.EXE process, and I could not close or open windows. That CSC patch will not install onto my V6.0 VMS. (It complains about the version number of the software, and says that it needs V5.x VMS.) Is there a similar patch for V6.0 VMS ??? I have the same problems that I thought an upgrade to a newer version might have fixed...
