Hi, I have a customer that wishes to place their managed objects on several individual U.S. State backdrop maps. Our competitors provide these map backdrops with their NMS's. So, it just seems logical that Digital can too. Given the above, does anyone have a library of individual U.S. States in native DECmcc format (VECTOR)? If so, would you please make it available by palcing a pointer to it on the NET in a reply to this note? Another solution would be to make the "DRAW_MAP" routine MOTIF compliant and give instructions in English so that we can Scan in BITMAP and save in VECTOR format. It sure would be nice if some other format could be deployed. MSU reads DDIF (or so I've been told) in V1.2 for backdrops. This is a customer satisfaction/selling point. Whoever can respond please do so. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Bob

4622.1 | Same requirement, different country | ADO75A::BOUCHER | Mon Mar 01 1993 16:39 | 8 | |
I have the same requirement, with the exception being that the country is Australia. I have been thinking that if I import DECwrite drawings (.DDIF) into Paint, and then save them in X11 format this will work. Any problems with this ? Reece Boucher Adelaide, Australia |
