I have an Ultrix system (DECstation 5000 model 240) with BMS V1.2 with patches installed. (Also TeMIP). DECnet is not installed, only IP. What considerations or what may break if I chaned the IP node number and IP host name after I have configured DECmcc? I am wondering if I have to reinstall DECmcc and TeMIP. I am having some problems..... Dorie

Hello, Is someone still alive here ? It seems to be a recurrent problem, But unfortunately it is an important problem as we sometimes move a workstation to the customer premises and of course the customer will want to monitor his OWN network without an internet gateway. So, naturally the customer will change the IP address and guess what, the DECees have to re-install the whole thing !!! Please, put a reply here if you also encountered this problem... Thanks Catherine | |||||

Hi, I had the opportunity to change the IP address (not the hostname) of my workstation running DECmcc T1.3.1 and TeMIP T1.1. I changed the IP address, I could no longer open the display, I rebooted and DECmcc and TeMIP worked. Maybe rebooting was even not necessary. Regards Catherine |
