4564.0. "MCC ULTRIX process hangs" by ZUR01::SCHNEIDERR () Thu Feb 18 1993 03:34

Hello,

We saw on MCC ULTRX the following:

All open MCC windows that are white. The prozess hangs with zero CPU time,
for ever.

We have notification-logging runing. Each night we create a new logfile. If
MCC is runing and the customer goes home in the evening, the next morning the
MCC process hangs in that way. The last entry in the notification-log-file is
from 23:58. The day before he saw no problems.

But this happens not each night. We have a lot of alarms (logfile entries).
Could it be, that it has something to do with the notificationlog or the alarms,
an overflow somewhere or something like that?

Did you see something like that?

I cannot tell if it is *the* reason, but there was a bug in
the MCC lock code that lead to this kind of situations in MCC
	versions earlier to T1.3.1.

So, what I could suggest is update to MCC T1.3.1 and see what
	happens :-)

	Regards.

	Pierre.

Pierre,

We will update the MCC version as soon as possible, but I don't want to give
the T version to the customer. So I think we can wait until the V1.3 is
availible.

Thanks Roland
