1 DESCRIPTION
DECmcc[TM] PABX AM is a Packaged Application Software
Solution (PASS) offering alarming and accounting
management of an Ericsson[TM] MD110 PABX.
Alarming management makes it possible to see via
DECmcc if there is an alarm occured in the PABX.
Accounting management makes it possible to see
information about the calls which are made on this
PABX. So you can see who called who, how long did
that call take, when was that call made and how much
did that call cost. It is also possible to generate
reports about this accounting part.
1.1 FEATURES
DECmcc[TM] PABX AM provides:
1. Alarming management.
- Creating, Deleting, Registering and
Deregistering PABX and alarm boards
- Display information about the alarms that
are present in one of the five alarm classes
of the PABX. This includes showing the error
code, error description, time of error, time of
receipt, faulty board identity, faulty equipment
number, etc, etc.
- Delete alarms in the PABX.
- Display and modify information about the five
alarm classes of the PABX. This includes showing
the number of alarms that are present in a class
and showing the incrementation alarm (the number
of alarms in a class that causes the generation
of an alarm in a higher class).
- Display and modify information about all
possible error codes that can occur in the PABX.
This inludes showing the alarm class in which
an alarm will get stored upon occurance of the
error code and showing the alarm class after
system receipt in which an alarm will get stored
upon system-receipt of the error code.
- Display and modify information about the 16
alarm inputs of all alarm boards that are
contained within the PABX. This includes showing
the function of the alarm input: (external
input, serviceman input, audible input), showing
the error code, command tape file name, text
information, etc.
- Display and modify information about the 13
alarm outputs of all alarm boards that are
contained within the PABX. This includes showing
the function of the alarm output (external
output alarm class, external output error code,
audible output, showing the error code, alarm
class, text information, etc.
2. Accounting management with reporting functions.
- Setting up which extension must be accounted.
Set the name of the owner of the extension.
Set the PTT cost per metering pulse for this
extension.
- Displaying the incoming and outgoing traffic of
an extension. How many calls are made. What was
the duration of that calls. What was the cost of
that calls. Which extension called who, at what
time, how long took this call and what was the
cost of this call.
- Creating groups of extensions.
- Show the total amount of calls of an extension
group. Show the total duration of all the calls
of an extension group. Show the total cost of a
group of extensions.
- Full Accounting Summary report -> total amount
of calls of all extensions together.
- Extension Group Accounting Full report ->
total amount of calls of all extensions in this
extension group, and the amount of calls of each
extension in this group.
- Extension Group Accounting Summary report ->
total amount of calls of all extensions in this
extension group.
- Extension Accounting Full report -> total amount
of calls of this extension, and information
about each call this extension did.
- Extension Accounting Summary report -> total
amount of calls of this extension.
- It is also possible to generate a spread sheet
input file, this file can be used by any spread
sheet program and so you can manipulate the data
in the way you want.

2 SERVICE OPTIONS
Standard delivery, installation, and orientation
services are available from the local Digital office.
They are specified in the Work Statement and can be
ordered under QS-GLJA9-A9.
DIGITAL software specialists are also available on a
per-call or resident basis to help in all phases of
software development or implementation. Specialists
are available to serve as technical consultants,
decision support consultants or business system
analysts. DIGITAL resources are available to:
o Supplement the programming staff on your site
o Develop software on your behalf on our own premises
o Assume project management responsibility
o Augment the Packaged Application Software Solution
Service package with tailored services to meet
specific needs.

3 HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Mandatory Hardware
The following minimum hardware is required for the
successful installation and operation of DECmcc[TM]
PABX AM software components. PASS Warranty only
applies if the hardware identified in this section
is present.
o All valid hardware configuration running VAX/VMS
supported by DECmcc V1.2
o DECserver 200 (2 ports needed)
3.2 Optional Hardware
The following optional hardware may be used with
DECmcc[TM] PABX AM:
o A X-Windows terminal.

4 SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
PASS Warranty applies only if the following Digital
software is installed and configured as specified in
the DECmcc[TM] PABX AM V1.2 Release Notes.
o OpenVMS VAX V5.4 - V5.5
o DECmcc Director V1.2
NOTE: Digital has revised the name of the VMS
Operating System. OpenVMS VAX is the new title for the
VMS software that runs on Digital's VAX processors.
All references to VMS in this document pertain to the
new title OpenVMS VAX.
4.1 Optional Software
The following optional software may be used with
DECmcc[TM] PABX AM:
o DECmcc BMS V1.2
o DECmcc EMS V2.2

5 OTHER PREREQUISITES
In addition to the items described above, the
following are also required:
o Ericsson[TM] MD110 PABX with the following items:
- A CIL port available to be used by this AM.
- The CIL port must be connected to a DECserver
port or to a Remote Agent or to a RS232 port on
the monitoring system.
- The CIL port must be configured and activated.
- A IOS port available to be used by this AM.
- The IOS port must be connected to a DECserver
port or to a Remote Agent or to a RS232 port on
the monitoring system.
- The IOS port must be configured and activated.
- PABX software BL4 is required. (other versions
may require some customization)
- The output of the CIL port needs to contain also
the PTT metering pulses.

6 ORDERING INFORMATION
DECmcc[TM] PABX AM is licensed as a PASS and includes
both software and service components.

7 PASS WARRANTY
Warranty for DECmcc[TM] PABX AM is provided under
Digital's Terms and Conditions for ASSETS or, where
applicable, Digital's Standard Terms and Conditions.
