4417.0. "ELM AM V1.2 + DECmcc T1.3 + LAN Autotopology = ACCVIO" by FRAIS::ORCHIS::MAASS (Information, that's all I need...) Wed Jan 20 1993 15:37

Hi all,

I'm running DECmcc BMS T1.3 on a VS3100/48 SPX, VMS 5.5, 32 MB Memory, 150000
blocks pagefile, MCC ELM AM & FM V1.2, freshly installed on top of T1.3.

When I try to start the LAN Autotopology, I get:

%CMA-F-EXCCOP, exception raised; VMS condition code follows
-SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=00, virtual address=00000000, PC
=00D4B6A9, PSL=03C00004
%TRACE-F-TRACEBACK, symbolic stack dump follows
module name routine name line rel PC abs PC

                                                           0004B8C4 0004B8C4
                                                           0007C782 0007C782
                                                           000775DC 000775DC
                                                           0007AC78 0007AC78

The problem is reproducable. Any ideas?

Thanx in advance

Known problem, watch for an answer to a similar question in note
    4416.

just to clarify something, the T1.3.1 dictionary is NOT backwards
compatible. There is a new format (this was a mandatory change
because the depth limitation in the dictionary database was not
sufficient to handle all of the mibs you were trying to define).
But, because of this you have to have a new ELMS kit, which 4416
    has already flaged.
