Hi, I think this is probably a problem in the PA iconic map interface : If you record SNMP counters for a particular entity and then try and look at the statistics from the iconic map everything appears to work ie it will let you look at the data and move on to the next set. However, if you try and close the window a decmcc window appears which is empty and then the window you were looking at the stats from freezes up. The only way to remove this is to kill the process or to retart MCC. Version of MCC 1.2.3 and VMS 5.5-2 and latest version of motif. Does anyone have any ideas.. Bipin

Bipin, Which process do you have to kill - PA or the Iconic Map? Have you tried the same commands from the FCL? If not, this might provide us with additional information. Verna

Is this the only command that gives you problems, that is can you record other things and look at their statistics successfully? Is the process that you kill the one running PA? Verna

Verna, To be honest i've only collected info from snmp entities and then tried to look at statistical data from the iconic map. I don't think it matters which entity your using because once you've collected the info your no longer using that AM. So, if your looking at stats via the iconic map you're just using PA and Iconic map. The process i'm killing is the decterm that the iconic map generates. I hope this helps. Bipin. |
