My customer has just installed DECmcc BMS V1.2 with ELM. He has 2 LANbridge 200s plus 1 Etherspan bridge (non-DEC). My problems/questions are as follows: 1. The autoconfig tool with ELM only sees the LANbridges. I would have thought he would be able to see all bridges supporting either 802.1d or DEC spanning tree. 2. Of the 2 LANbridge 200s that it sees, it only recognizes 1 as being a LB200, ie, 1 LB200 is displayed using a bridge icon which says "LANbridge 200" inside of it and the other LB200 is displayed with "?" inside of it. The known LB200 is given the domain name .br_08002b... The unknown LB200 is given the domain name .ubr_08002b... Any ideas? Thanks, Mark

The STM FM will only map Digital (RBMS) bridges. It has some logic built in to map the Digital bridge around 3rd party bridges. That's why you see the "?" icon for 3rd party bridges that are directly above Digital bridges in the tree. I'm not sure why the other LANbridge 200 was mapped this way, but it's possible that the STM FM couldn't get some of it's spanning tree attributes Check the log file from the run to see if there were problems polling this bridge.
