Hi, I need to size a DECmcc platform wich will allow 5 to 10 Operators to work simultaneously, DECmcc Director + SNA AM will be Installed. How can I size that in terms of CPU, Disk and memory, I suppose that for instance 32 MB memory will not be sufficient as specied in the SPD !! Thanks in advance, Robert

At SmithKline Beecham, we are running out of memory resource with ~ 5 maps,
DETCMCC running the alarms, and two exporters running. The system we
are using is a VAXstation 4000 model 60 w/ 104 megs of memory. We also
have two 1 gig disks which are 3/4 full, but we are doing a lot of
redundant alarm text logging. I would recommend finding a system with
at least 256 meg of memory. CPU on the model 60 seems to be pretty good.
We are running in the neighborhood of 150 polling alarms every 5
minutes, ~ 50 alarms that check the status of other alarms at every 5
minutes, and about thirty rules that sample bridge error rates at every
2 hours.
