4330.0. "T1.3 launching and snmp proxy problem?" by ZPOVC::RAMARAJ () Mon Jan 04 1993 10:14

The launching mechanism for V1.3s look good and easy to use.

For snmp entities registed thru proxy agents, could an argument be added
to pass the proxy agent's IP address. They do NOT have IP address and
rely on the proxy agent's IP address.

Eg. for the Hubwatch launching, snmp.name and the read/write community
can be passed, but the main parameter is the proxy agent's IP address.

4330.1Use user-definable argument definitionTOOK::FLETCHERMon Jan 04 1993 11:1410
Within you Button definition section of the application
interface definition, use the following:

ARGUMENT:  <snmp.!.proxyagentaddress>

The launch application code shall query the selected
entity (because the argument spec used the .!. notation)
for the attribute "Proxy Agent Address".
