BMS T1.3 on VMS 5.5-2, VS4000 M60 I ran the MTU utility to load the DEChub90 mib and it went well. I registered a DECagent and clicked on the entity and the dec subclass showed up. I clicked on dec subclass and it went to the ema subclass, clicking on this produces software error:invalid in_entity(input entity) parameter With the T1.3 on Ultrix, it works fine. Looks like the VMS code has some bug. Another problem: With the proxy agent support, I registered a hub and provided the proxy agent's IP address. With proxy agent snmp entities, the registration always says, it is partial registration and the subclass dec does not show up. Is this a problem with SNMP AM? Raj Network Partner DEC Singapore

Especially at this late date (we are nearing code freeze for field test update) it important to report these problems using the QAR system (see note 7), not notes. -- Erik | |||||

>>I registered a DECagent and clicked on the entity and the dec subclass >>showed up. >>I clicked on dec subclass and it went to the ema subclass, >>clicking on this produces >>software error:invalid in_entity(input entity) parameter I tried the above with our internal X1.3.5 version and it worked fine. Did you give the NO prune option while running MTU ? If you did, then you might have exceed the maximum no. of levels that the DECmcc dictionary and iconic map can handle. You might want to wait for field test update, which fixes the problem. >>With the proxy agent support, I registered a hub and provided the proxy >>agent's IP address. >>With proxy agent snmp entities, the registration always says, it is >>partial registration and the subclass dec does not show up. >>Is this a problem with SNMP AM? Actually this may be due to the way the Registration FM works. Someone is already investigating this problem. Rahul. |
