I get an error message when starting the T1.3 iconic map interface. It comes up and seems to work (I have a few problems with entity classes not registered and stuff, but I think I understand those) Anyone got a clue what this means? Am I doing something wrong or is MCC? BUSHIE> mana/ent/int=decw X Toolkit Warning: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) This is running on VMS 5.5-2 and displaying to either an alpha running OSF/1 T1.2 or to a Sparcstation running SunOS 4.1.2 so I guess the problem is at the VMS end... thanks, Mike

A straightforward reading of the message indicates that one of the low level X routines tries to allocate memory, and fails. How much memory do you have on the machines? What is the pagefile size? -- Erik | |||||
4314.2 | lots of memory available.... | GIDDAY::DRANSFIELD | Mike Dransfield, Sydney RSSG | Sun Jan 03 1993 16:26 | 10 |
re: .1 thanks for the reply.....this sounds unlikely since I didn't have any problem with 1.2.. the machine has 92Mb of memoery 250,000 blocks of pagefile space. I have a working set extent of 47000 pages and a pagefile quota of 300,000. bytlm of 100000...other quotas are similarly high. any more clues about tracking down the problem? thanks, Mike |
