4290.0. "STATISTICS in the past how it's calculate?" by TAV02::KALAI () Mon Dec 21 1992 01:35
One of my customer try to analyze errors on WAN network using statistics
from the past .He want to know exactly how the PA does his work concerning
number of polling and zero counters.
Under the next example:
MCC> SHO NODE4 TLVMCC LINE SYN-0 ALL STATISTICS,FOR START (15-NOV-1992:08:00)-
MCC> UNTIL 15-NOV-1992:12:00 EVERY 00:20 DURATION 00:45 ,IN DOMAIN ISRAEL
with polling period of 00:15 for the line, and counters zero each 1 hour.
Two question:
1.for the DURATION ,does the PA take from the MORE the first data (closed
to the specified time) and the last one OR all the data exits for the
specified time?
2.What exactly happens when a zero line counters occurs in the middle of
the specified time?

| it is my understanding that the zeroing of the counters isn't caught
correctly in all cases. Have you checked the information given for
the algorithms in the back of the PA book?
