	During some registration actions our system rebooted due to
	system performance issues.

	The domain in which we performed these actions is now
	unable to register new domains. (if we try to register
	a new domain in this domain we get the INV-HANDLE
	error).
	We are able to create a new domain from the FCL and from 
	the file option in the iconic map. If we use the following
	FCL command we get the INV-HANDLE error again:
	CREATE DOMAIN domainname MEMBER domainname2

	If you look into the object entry in dns you see the following
	attributes:

	.
	 Attribute (Single) ___ MCC_DOM_MEM_MAX
	 Attribute (Set) ______ MCC_DOMAIN_LIST
	 Attribute (Single) ___ MCC_REGISTRATION_STATE
	 Attribute (Single) ___ MCC_UID
	.
	Where the MCC_REGISTRATION_STATE contains the following info:

	 Member _ 0
	            (Hexadecimal):
	 63 00 00 00
	            (ASCII and Hexadecimal):
	 c 00 00 00
	  Timestamp _ 28-OCT-1992 13:00:03.25 aa-00-04-00-fd-cb

	This attribute only seems to apear in this "faulty" domain.

	Is there a way to get rid of this attribute, and would this solve my
	problem or do I have to create a new domain and reenteer al the
	entity information in this new domain and delete the "faulty" domain
	afterwards?

	I hope somebody can give me a clue.

    The attribute MCC_REGISTRATION_STATE indicates whether the entity
    registration is partitially or fully registered.
    The value of 0x63 means the entity was successfully registered.
    The attribute was added in DECmcc V1.2.
    If you have domains created using DECmcc V1.1, you won't see the 
    attribute in the object.
    
    When you issue "MCC> create domain .domainname mem domainname2",
    MCC adds ".domainname2" to the DNS$Members attribute of ".domainname",
    and adds ".domainname"  to the MCC_DOMAIN_LIST attribute of
    ".domainname2" to indicate domainmembership relationship.
    
    Please issue the following commands ans post results:
    	MCC> show domain .domainname member * all char
    	MCC> show domain .domainname2 all char
    
    	$ mcr dns$control
    	DNS> show object .domainname attr dns$members
    	DNS> show object .domainname attr MCC_DOM_EXT_LIST
    	DNS> show object .domainname attr MCC_DOMAIN_LIST
    	DNS> show object .domainname2 attr dns$members
    	DNS> show object .domainname2 attr MCC_DOM_EXT_LIST

	It is solved. Thank you William.

	It turned out tho be the entry in the .jgo mcc_domain_list
	DNS attribute. It had three entries (of which only one
	was valid) see note 4211.2. Via an ultrix server (which
	had access) I deleted the europe entries from the list.

	dns> remove object nmgmcc_ns:.jgo mcc_domain_list %x.......

	Afterwards I was able to create new members to this domain.

	p.s. I did not know that MCC also checks the link
	     from the current domain to the "parent" domains.
