Is the SNA AM (presumably the DEC/System Centre product) part of EMS or not? My customer purchased EMS and complains that SNA is not in it. He says someone at LKG says that it is sold separately?.. What gives? regards

I don't believe that the SNA products have ever been part of the EMS kit. The easiest way to check is to look at the EMS SPD.

Eric is correct. The POLYCENTER SNA Manager is a separate option that may be added to either BMS or EMS (VMS only). There is also a piece of code that needs to be purchased for the IBM host from System Center. bill

You will also need to purchase LU6.2 services on BOTH platforms. While working on the announcement for the SNA Manager, I ran into a number of customers who did not have LU6.2 available on either the VAX or the IBM system. It was not a big deal, but it is yet another little piece you must buy. |
