I have seen many customers that have VT1300s and will login to a
MCC host and do the following commands to bring up the ICONIC
MAP at their VT1300 screen:
SET DISPLAY/CREATE/NODE=MCCHST/TRANSPORT=DECNET
MANAGE/ENTERPRISE/INTERFACE=DECWINDOWS
Is there a way to use TCP/IP as the TRANSPORT as opposed to DECNET
or LAT? It may not be supported, but I am wondering if anyone has done
this. I am aware that the MCC host needs UCX.

I use this to go from a VMS node w/ucx to an ip-only workstation. $ set display/create/node=netbug.bb.dec.com/transport=tcpip $ mcc/int=decw $ exit best regards, brad... Also note that the security setting on the workstation reflects the ip name (luvbot.bb.dec.com) and not luvbot::. | |||||
