4164.0. "TSAM on EMS" by ZUR01::SCHNEIDERR () Mon Nov 30 1992 07:23

Hello,

I installed the new EMS. If we try to register an Terminalserver DECmcc hangs.

In different notes here is written that there were some problems with MCC V1.2.3
(first version) and TSAM. I've done a "SHOW MCC 0 ALL CHAR" and get a version
V1.2.2. Never heard about!!!!! Could it be that in this version the TSAM problem
is still in? Should I install an other Version?

The V1.2.2 version of BMS was released only as part of the EMS kit.

You could try contacting Dave (TOOK::) Fonseca about the TSAM problem.

You have got two possible solutions to this problem:

1. Go to the CSC and get the new TSAM kit they have created which will accept
the EMS license.

2. Install the TSAM V1.0.2 kit from TOOK""::DSV$KITS$:[SAVESETS.TSAM.V102] then
copy the patch from TOOK""::DSV$KITS$:[SAVESETS.TSAM.EMS_V102]EMS_LIC_PATCH.COM;1
and apply it to SYS$LIBRARY:MCC_TS_AM.EXE.

When I have time I will wrap a new kit to reduce step 2 to one operation.
I don't have time now. Step 2 gets you better, newer code. Step one is
the supported one-step way.
