Hi, I am working on a DECmcc/VMS BMS 1.2 platform at a customer site. They want to manage from DECmcc their Hirschmann hubs. There are two ways of managing those hubs : - to have a MIKE card implementing an SNMP agent on the hub. They have a MIKE card version 2. I heard from another customer that the ASN1 script given by Hirschmann was impossible to integrate in DECmcc. Does somebody have already integrated Hirschmann equipment in DECmcc ? How and with what versions ? - to have specifics management modules for Hirschmann hubs, like for Vitalink. The customer said that there is an agreement between Hirschmann and Digital Germany to do it. Is somebody from Germany aware of this ? Is there a schedule for it or is it canceled ? Hello Fran�ois,
the way to manage Hirschmann HUB via DECmcc at moment is to implemeent
their private MIB. Robert Krause @UFC has a loadable (modified)private
MIB from Hirschmann. For information regarding a DECmcc Management
Module for the HUB contact Rolf Ditter @RTO he was (or is) involved in the
negotiations with Hirschmann.
