4103.0. "Using ELM AM and FM from an FDDI system" by ENUF::CAUDILL (Kelly - NaCM Tech Support - 264-3320) Tue Nov 17 1992 20:49

    Is there any hope on this? We have system for DECUS which only has
    an FDDI adapter. No ethernet. I can register things by using the
    via port qualifier and I can get the iconic map to work if I set this
    qualifier via the operations->qualifiers pull down.

    But I can't seem to get autotopology to work.

The MCC EA routines do not officially support access to devices from the
management station directly through an FDDI controller.

However,  doing a
register bridge <name> addr=<bridge addr>, via port=<fddi port name>
may work for you.

    For example, the LAN Autotoplogy, Spanning Tree Map Listener will not
    accept anything but _EXA0 for the ethernet port. It won't even take it
    without the _ so I can't even fool it by defining a logical EXA0 to
    point to FXA0 in the process running MCC to
4103.2No takers?? :-((ENUF::CAUDILLKelly - NaCM Tech Support - office(ha!)=254-3320 - lab=264-1267Thu Nov 19 1992 15:451
    Is there no way to make the ELM_FM work on a system which only has FDDI???
