Hi, I've a general question about the private MIB that's possible to import on MCC. A customer of us as HP Unix nodes, HP Brouters and HP hubs, the HP mib that we've is valid for all of these 3 entities or it's valid only for one of this ??? More general, when I've only 1 mib extention for a company that's means that all the CPUs (routers, hub, bridges,etc.etc.) that implements the SNMP agent use this mib, OR exist a mib for routers, one for bridges etc.etc. As you could understand I'm quite new on TCP/IP networking. Thanks in advance Ciao Luciano

This is really a question about MIBs in general, not about MCC. The answer depends on what the agent developers (in this case, HP) implemented. They may have one set of extensions for all of their products, or they may have custom extensions for each product. While someone here may happen to know, the authoritative answer would have to come from HP (or their documentation). | |||||

Hi, Thanks, I'll ask to the customer to ask to HP what they do. I was just curious and ignorant, knowing that "depends" for the moment it's enough. Ciao Luciano |
