Hi, I am proposing a DECmcc BMS to manage 1800 nodes network. I don't know how many DECmcc workstation will be required. Can anybody tell me the performance of DECmcc on VAXstation 4000-90 ? * A VAXstation 4000-90 can issue how manay polling per minute ? * How much data transfer will be involved in each polling ? (the DECmcc workstation will use SNMP to manage nodes via TCP/IP over X.25 network ) * What is the optimum polling interval (in minutes) ? * Can anybody give me some reference information how our big DECmcc users use DECmcc ? Thanks in advance ! LK Lee

Why don't you try using the system sizer tool ? There's a pointer to it (and lots of other helpful stuff) in the MCC-TOOLS conference on NOTED::. /doug | |||||
