    Hi,
    
    On my customer site, using DECmcc ELM FM (on ULTRIX platform), VITALINK
    Translan III have been detected.
    
    Via DECmcc/FCL, I've tried registration on those bridges... And it
    worked !!! All ELM/Bridge commands seem to work. Nevertheless, via
    DECmcc/iconic map, some error messages are returned.
    
    The current version of those Translan III is 6.9.4.
    
    Is their management via DECmcc ELM an official way of management ? Is
    there any other VITAlink/Version manageable  by DECmcc ?

       ELM does not offically support Vitalink bridges.  Vitalink bridges
       do support a variation of RBMS so some bridge AM commands may work.
    
       Some Vitalink models support SNMP so the SNMP AM may work.
    
        Also, I believe there was a Vitalink AM on MCC V1.1.  Does anyone 
        know if this AM is available on V1.2?

Yeah, it'll sorta work for a few things, but what you were able to do is
definitely not supported and I guranatee that it will cease to work if you ever
upgrade the Translans beyond 6.9.*
