3998.0. "DCL error in autoconfig registration mode" by CSDNET::DICASTRO (jet ski jockey) Fri Oct 30 1992 08:41

I am running DECmcc on a 3900, and am pretty new to this, so forgive
    the uncertainty....

I attempted to run the autoconfig in address mode for decnet phase IV
nodes in my local domain named LMO. I did this overnight, when I
returned, all I had were errors saying the registration scripts failed.
I pulled down on the scroll bar to find a DCL error when mcc tried
    to do the registration.

unrecognized command verb, re-enter w/ fewre parameters
    /REGISTER/

Is this a known problem or bug, or a local issue w/ my setup ?

    Any tips, hints, ideas ....?

    Thanx..........bob

If this doesn't ring a bell for someone right away, you should probably
file a QAR (see note 7). That will get the attention of the right people.

    Hello,

I suspect that the command to invoke DECmcc which appears at the
beginning of the Autoconfiguration registration script failed. If
that command fails then all the MCC commands to register would be
read by DCL, rather than MCC, causing a slew of DCL errors.

Bob, could you send us (or post here) the registration command
    procedure (mcc_<domain>_registration.com) and log file
(mcc_<domain>_registration.log)? These will give us more
clues as to the cause of the problem.

    Thanks,

    Ulla

Please see note 4100.1 for a possible workaround for this
    problem.

    Thanks,
